To all mobsters –
Thank you for another great year of Mob Wars! Your passion for the game is what inspires us to keep improving, and we can’t appreciate your support enough! This has been a very eventful year for Mob Wars, and we still have plenty of new ideas and new content left to develop. The Mob Wars team will be taking a break for the rest of the year, but we have some big things planned for 2012!
From everyone on the Mob Wars team, we wish you a happy and safe holiday!
After the success of DC, we have decided to begin the process of “revamping” old cities, as opposed to continuously adding cities to the top of the list. The first city which will get an update is Los Angeles. LA now has 10 new jobs, complete with new crime waves that pay out skill points, and powerful new collection items. It works just like DC, where you have to defeat the boss to progress through the city.
There are a few important things to note about LA:
– If you have already been working on LA jobs, you will NOT see the new jobs until you complete all of the old ones
– If you have completed LA already, you can still complete the old jobs by scrolling to the bottom of the page and selecting “Show Old Jobs”
– If you have not started LA, once you unlock it you will only see new jobs
– If you have already defeated Xavier, your boss kills do NOT translate over to the new city flow. You will have to defeat the low level Xavier boss again in order to progress through the city.
As always, please let us know what you think!
Hey everyone! In addition to numerous bug fixes, today we launched two new updates to Mob Wars. The first is the addition of “Mystery Containers”, a new type of item in the Black Market. Despite the name, these containers are not very mysterious. Each crate contains 3 items, ranging in rarity (and power) from common to rare. When you buy a crate, you will earn one of these items. Rare items pack a punch! Seen below is a screenshot of the ‘Weapon Crate” items (there is also a Vehicle Crate and an Armor Crate).
The next update was a change to the unlock requirements for DC, the latest Mob Wars city. DC now unlocks for anyone who has completed Tokyo, which should open up the doors for a lot of players who have been struggling through the drop requirements for Medellin and LA.
As always, please visit our forums and let us know what you think. Also, if you are still experiencing any bugs, please post on our Get Satisfaction support page. Thanks!
