Update: Auto Heal

Hey everyone –

We have just added “Auto Heal” to the profile page. Auto Heal used to be an insider feature that had a FP cost and a time limit, but now it is free and can be toggled on or off with no time limit on use. You can find it in the upper right hand corner of your profile page, just check the box for on or off.

Basically, what Auto Heal does is check before each attack to see if you are in the hospital or dead. If you are in the hospital or dead, it will automatically heal you and deduct the cash from your bank account before attacking your target. This is mainly useful when fighting with a level partner, fighting from the war page, or attacking on the hitlist. The real benefit is that Auto Heal prevents you from having to open the slow loading “Heal” dialog box that normally pops up when you run out of health.

It is important to note that Auto Heal does not heal you from incoming attacks. If a player chains you into the hospital, you will stay in the hospital until you heal yourself. Also, there is still a small chance to be killed by return damage from your attack if you are trying to fight someone who is much stronger than you, but this situation is generally rare. Auto Heal does not apply to boss battles.

Please let us know what you think!

Update: Heists and Rackets

Hey Mobsters –

We just added Heists and Racket drop down menues on the “Jobs” tab. Now all City Heists and Rackets are in one place so you don’t have to flip between cities to collect. This should save you time, and reduce the need to use the “world” city dropdown menu.  If there are any other game flow type changes (like flipping through cities) that you think are annoying, please let us know! Thanks.

Update: Sidebar and War Rewards

Hello Mobsters –

Today we pushed a few small updates. First of all, we changed the layout of the sidebar on the right hand side of the screen.  Trial Pay offers and Special Items are minimized by default, and Helpful Links is expanded.  We have also added the Family Chat function in the sidebar so you can talk to your family members.  You need to hit the “refresh” button at the bottom of chat to keep it up-to-date 🙂

We also boosted rewards for winning a war. Now, all members of a winning family earn a “War Chest.” The war chest is a new idea, so for now it includes the heist drop items as possible rewards.  We will be tweaking war rewards as time goes on. If you have any thoughts or comments on these updates, please let us know in the forums!

New City: Mexico City!

Hello mobsters –

Mexico City has arrived! Mexico City is complete with new jobs, new properties, a new Boss, and a new set of collection items to master. El Guapo, the boss for Mexico City, is the toughest boss yet.  To complete the jobs, you will need to collect certain prerequisite items that drop from Palermo. If you have questions or comments, let us know!

We also added in a new filter in the friend selector that allows you to send gifts, items, and all other requests to your Family members.  This should help provide another advantage to being in a family and make it easy to help each other out. Please let us know what you think about this too!

Thanks, and happy mobbing!

Updates: Wars and Sidebar

Hello mobsters –

Based on your feedback, we have made number of changes to the “Family Wars” feature in Mob Wars.

– fixed a bug with war wins not being counted
– removed healing slider, replaced with time spent out of hospital (longer healed = better)
– brought back hitlist restrictions for high levels
– updated the strength calculation (each win adds to your strength, each loss detracts)
– dramatically increased XP payout from wars

If you have any questions or thoughts about these changes, please let us know what you think!

Second, you probably noticed that Mob Wars is now in “wide screen” mode. We are still experimenting with what to do with the space, but we do plan on adding in a second news feed and a chat function in this sidebar.  If you have any thoughts or suggestions on what you would like to see in the sidebar, please let us know!

Happy Mobbing.

UI Update: Sidebar

Hello Mobsters! Mob Wars now displays in widescreen mode, which allows for us to fit more of the game on the screen.  We are starting to experiment with what to put in this extra space.  What you see in the screenshot below is our first pass at adding content to the sidebar.  Right now, this includes the links that used to be above the game, as well as the Trial Pay offers that give free points.  You can minimize both of these by clicking on the blue bars above each category. If you have any questions or comments, please let us know what you think in the forums! Thank you.
