Attention Mobsters! After over two weeks of critical updates and bug fixes, we are happy to say that gifting has finally been rebuilt and is back online. There are a lot of updates to how the gifting system though! So, here’s what you need to know:
– the number of gifts you have left to send and request is now shown under each gift type on the gifting page
– you can now accept a total of 20 energy boosts every 6 hours (other boost types not affected)
– accept limit for cash boosted to 15 per day
– job helps have been removed from the game, however you can still accept any pending job helps you still have
– gifts from each friend will “stack” on top of each other, so you can easily accept gifts from one person
Please take some time to try out the new gifting system. If you have any feedback or bugs to report, please click here to post in the forums and we will respond as quickly as possible!
Thank you for your amazing patience this past week as we have worked to resolve issues! We still have a lot to do, so please bear with us.
NOTE: Gifting is still not working for Mobile players. We are working on this!
After two grueling days of Amazon outages and issues, we are happy to say that Mob Wars is back online. Currently, we are still having trouble with gifting requests, but are working to resolve this issue as soon as we can. Other than gifting, the game as a whole should be working correctly. If you are still encountering any problems, please email us at email@example.com. There are also multiple threads and discussions in the forums which answer a ton of questions, so please click here to visit the forums.
In addition to getting the game back online there have also been some updates:
– refill rates for timers and leveling up have been fixed to stay in line with where they have been since the launch of the game
– avatar images removed from fight list
– player names on fight list shown as links
– “online now!” status now shown on fight list
– current FP total added back to the HUD
– game actions now have a quick “flashing” animation
– hitlist redirect bug fixed
– news feed redirect bug fixed
After Amazon crash yesterday, we were able to get Mob Wars back online for a short time. However, continuing issues have forced us to take the game down for further maintenance.
We apologize for this downtime and will be working to get Mob Wars back online as soon as possible!
Attention Mobsters! The Amazon servers which host Mob Wars are experiencing downgraded performance, which is preventing Mob Wars from loading. There is no notice yet for when these servers will be fixed.

Hey there mobsters! Today we made some huge changes to the Mob Wars Mobile UI (screen layout), as well as some very important and much needed infrastructure upgrades for Mob Wars on Facebook. If you are a mobile player, you will see the most changes. Below is a screenshot of the new mobile home page. As you can see, it is very different from how it used to look! The News Feed has moved the the home page, the large banners have been removed, and much more. For full details and discussions on the new home page, click here to visit the forums!
So, in addition to that huge update for mobile, there have been a number of changes to the “backend” infrastructure that runs Mob Wars. You, as a player, do not see these changes so much, but you should be able to experience in the form of faster game speed. Fighting, switching pages, healing, doing jobs, really everything should be happening faster now. If you experience any trouble with the game, please be sure to let us know!
Hey there mobsters! The Godfather has been taking a close look at things and has deemed the Mob Wars interface unworthy. He’s been at work bringing the Mob Wars HUD (heads up display) back to its roots. Today, we have launched an update to the HUD.
Now your full cash, health, energy and stamina values are displayed on the page. Refill timers are back, letting you know how long you have to wait for your stats to recharge. The Black Market has been moved to its own tab, and now has dropdowns for quick navigation to the specific item you might be looking for. In addition, the “Family” tab has been collapsed into the “My Mob” tab, so be sure to check under My Mob if you are looking for your family features!
There have been minor changes to your Profile page as well. Stat descriptions are back, giving new players the information they need to make better decisions on stat placement. Also, the sliding “trays” that displayed your items have been removed. All of your items are now displayed in one impressive, giant block.
Check the images below for a preview, or just play the game to see these changes! If you have any questions, feedback, or problems with these UI changes, please click here to continue the discussion in the forums! Much has already been discussed, but the more input from players the better.
